Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for business analysis, development of custom and/or modified reports, administration of our MS-SharePoint environment and “Tier 3” support for any and all applications used by the business. It is our desire to leverage packaged solutions in lieu of custom developed software wherever possible. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing and maintaining all of the business applications databases. This position requires a strong aptitude and experience in project management, especially using a formal Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):
Tier 3 Support
- Provide technical assistance and trouble shoot issues with all business applications, primarily Dynamics GP and MS-CRM as well as various custom interfaces and applications
- Work with software vendors and VARs to find solutions to issues that cannot be resolved internally
- Document issues and solutions for use by Tier 1 and 2 support
Report Development and Management
- Create and/or update reports in SSRS, SmartList, and DGP as required
- Maintain reports and access to reports as required
SharePoint Administration
- Ensure proper procedure is followed when analyzing and adding new sites to the SharePoint environment
- Analyze the business requirements related to requests for SharePoint sites and support and ensure new development and maintenance efforts are consistent with both the business requirements, SharePoint best practices, and company strategy for our SharePoint environment
- Maintain the current SharePoint environment from an applications perspective and ensure security and site maintenance is up to date
- Maintain, develop and implement SharePoint sites as required
Methodology
- When necessary, analyze, design, and build custom reports
- Monitor, coordinate and report project progress throughout the project lifecycle
- Create application systems documentation and/or training documentation as required
Team Interaction
- Promote and reinforce teamwork among participants in filling the business’ operating objectives as they relate to IT projects
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to understand and support technical solutions
- Advise on options, risks, costs and benefits, as well as impacts to other business processes and systems
- Responsible for the effective communication of expectations to executive management, project management and team members
- Provides an escalation point for the timely resolution of project problems and conflicts escalating to senior IT management when necessary
- Provide mentoring and technical advice to other team members, especially junior members of the team
- Ensures best practices and company policy/procedures are followed at all times
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:
- Advanced expertise in SQL Server Report Service (SSRS)
- Expertise in troubleshooting software applications
- Expertise in MS-SQL Server
- Expertise in .net development
- Knowledge of object oriented analysis and design techniques
- Experience with MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Visio, and MS-Project
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
- Ability to analyze project needs and estimate effort required to meet objectives

- Skilled in being a strong team player, i.e.; flexible, collegial, and enthusiastic
- Experience with Dynamics GP including Dexterity and Report Writer
- Experience with MS-CRM
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- MCPD – Microsoft Certified Professional Developer,
- MCAD – Microsoft Certified Application Developer
- MCSD – Microsoft Certified Solution Developer
- Any MS-Dynamics GP Certifications
- Any MS-CRM Certifications
- 2 years minimum experience as a lead software developer using .net
- 2 years minimum experience working as an IT professional
